Notice To Correct Change
Thursday, May 31, 2012
As discussed in the last Best Practice Forum on May 3, 2012: Notice Correct Entries for the Court have changed.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: Failure to comply with a Notice to Correct noticed by the Clerk's office within 7 days may result in any or all of the following actions: Show Cause hearing set for Case Dismissal, and/or a Reduction of Attorney’s fees, and/or a Sanctioning of the Attorney for failure to comply. In addition, Notices requiring action in 7 days will be mailed to the Debtor.
Filers need to pay more attention before filing documents in the CM/ECF system. Within the first 6 months of 2012 over 600 notices to correct were issued. It has become evident that some offices continue to make the same mistakes over and over. Starting today we strongly urge filers to pay close attention to the Notices to Correct issued by the court and take appropriate corrective action immediately.
